Privacy Policy

PrintExactly is designed to keep photo layout work on your Mac. This policy explains the limited information handled when you use the app, send feedback, or visit this website.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the PrintExactly macOS application and the official website at printexactly.app. PrintExactly is developed by xu zhangxuan.

2. Photos and local app data

Photos you select, layout documents, crop positions, dimensions, printer settings, and rendered print output are processed locally on your Mac for the app's core layout and printing features. PrintExactly does not upload photo content to its servers for layout processing.

The app may store preferences, layout state, file-access permissions, and a randomly generated installation identifier in local app storage. You can remove this local data by deleting the app and its associated app data. Printing is completed through macOS and your selected printer driver.

3. Optional feedback

Nothing is sent to the feedback service unless you choose Submit Feedback. A submission may include:

  • The feedback category and description you enter.
  • Your email address, only when you provide it for a possible reply.
  • App version and build, macOS version, and language or locale.
  • Print context such as paper and printable size, page and photo counts, selected printer name, display unit, margins, minimum effective DPI, and enabled layout features.
  • A random installation identifier used to apply submission rate limits.

Feedback submissions do not include your photos or photo file names. They are processed by a Cloudflare Worker and recorded in an access-controlled GitHub issue tracker so the developer can investigate and respond. Cloudflare may also process ordinary connection information, such as an IP address, to deliver and protect the service.

4. Website and App Store data

This website does not use advertising trackers, behavioral analytics, or tracking cookies. Its hosting and network providers may process standard request data, such as IP address, browser type, requested page, and request time, in routine security and operational logs.

If you download or purchase PrintExactly through the Mac App Store, Apple processes your Apple Account, payment, purchase, and download information under Apple's own privacy terms. PrintExactly does not receive your full payment-card details.

5. How information is used and shared

Information is used to operate the app and website, respond to feedback, diagnose printing or application problems, improve PrintExactly, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. It is shared only with service providers needed for those purposes, including Cloudflare, GitHub, Apple, and website hosting providers, or when disclosure is required by law.

PrintExactly does not sell personal information, serve targeted advertising, or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. Retention and security

Locally stored app data remains on your Mac until you remove it or delete the app's data. Feedback records are kept only as long as reasonably needed to respond, troubleshoot, maintain the app, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used, but no storage or transmission method is completely secure.

7. Your choices and rights

You can use the app's core layout and printing features without an account and without submitting feedback. Where applicable, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with a feedback submission. Include enough information to identify the submission, but do not send sensitive information or photo files.

8. Children

PrintExactly is a general-purpose printing utility and is not directed to children under 13. The developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. International processing

Service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used for international transfers.

10. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as PrintExactly or its service providers change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when revisions are published.
